Judy Niemack and Kenny Barron
"This effort is one of the first recordings by Judy Niemack, who was a
superior jazz singer even at this beginning stage. She is joined by
pianist Kenny Barron and (on four of a dozen selections) cellist Erik
Friedlander excelling in this very intimate setting. Niemack's warm
voice and high-quality improvising skills are well showcased on such
songs as "Come Rain or Come Shine," "Get Out of Town," Alan Broadbent's
"Heart's Dream," and a pair of "Lucky" and "Lover" medleys. This out of
print CD will be difficult to locate but is worth the search. "
