Silence of My Soul

                           (Kirk Nurock/Judy Niemack)

I’ve been on the road too long,

And somehow I’ve begun to think that this is home.

But when the lights go down and everyone is gone

I hear the silence of my soul.

It’s the truth, I want my freedom too

And nothing in this world will keep me from my goal,

But there’s a voice inside that sings to me of you

Within the silence of my soul.

And your eyes are what I see,

In my dreams you call to me,

I can see you in the crowd,

But somehow by the time I’m there,

You’ve gone, again you’ve gone.

And I know it’s not an easy task

To join two hearts, two souls,

Two halves to make us whole.

But there is nothing more that I would ever ask

To fill the silence of my soul.
